This is going to be an informal post so I’ll keep it short and succinct: starting next week I’m going to be publishing a weekly podcast.
Why I’m starting a weekly podcast
Before I started this blog, one of my greatest pipe dreams was to commentate and curate video gameplay on Youtube. I’ve always been an avid gamer, but never really had the time or the ability to pursue publishing content onto Youtube.
During my last two years of college, I had the opportunity to take several classes that taught me design, video and audio production and we had to create several commercials and podcasts as part of the curriculum.
Podcasting really caught my attention and I enjoyed doing it to the extent that I bought an Audio Technica ATR 2100 dynamic microphone and other audio equipment to do more projects outside of the classroom.
Over the years my aspirations to be a “Let’s Player” of video games on Youtube and Twitch faded, but I’ve become dedicated and passionate about consistently writing articles for the website and engaging with audiences around the world on social media. I want to take things to the next level by sharing my thoughts and perspectives in a podcast.
What to expect from the podcast
Like the name suggests, “Lounge Talk with Laz” is going to be informal, like this blog post, where I give some insight into my life and share opinions on a range of subject matters ranging from the professional to the personal. My blog posts are typically more professional in terms of content and presentation, so “Lounge Talk with Laz” in comparison will be more laid back, as if you’re catching up with someone over drinks. It’ll be a weekly podcast that I hope to publish every Saturday and it should start in a week or two. That’s all I have at the moment, but until it officially launches I look forward to seeing everyone at the next blog post on Monday!
